Base: Mustard Oil
Used for millennia in Ayurvedic medicine, it has multiple properties.
Warming, circulation-reactivating and draining, detoxifying, stimulating and toning action, excellent in case of joint or muscle pain.
Camellia:
Ideal for skin and hair care, it is rich in retinol and tocopherol, has excellent beneficial properties for the skin, counteracts free radicals and stimulates collagen production with intense moisturizing and anti-aging power; Antiseptic and with healing properties, it promotes the regeneration of skin tissue.
Hibiscus or Roselle (Hibiscus):
Used for millennia for the care of hair and scalp.
Hibiscus is traditionally used in cases of colds, catarrh, circulatory disorders, lack of appetite and as a mild laxative and diuretic. Hibiscus flowers are also attributed with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, detoxifying, analgesic, and antibacterial properties, but the available studies on hibiscus mainly concern its action on hypertension and hyperlipidemia. In particular, roselle seems to be effective in the treatment of mild and moderate hypertension as it would be able to reduce systolic (SBP) and diastolic (DBP) blood pressure.
Regarding its action on the lipid profile, the consumption of hibiscus seems to be able to reduce the oxidation of LDL lipoproteins, as well as reduce LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Promising results from analyses of its effects on blood pressure and lipid profile suggest a possible use of hibiscus in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. The flowers have a diuretic action and in the form of medicated oil are very useful as an anti-wrinkle treatment thanks to the high presence of antioxidants. They are often used in cooking for the preparation of sauces, jellies, jams and wines.
Honeysuckle:
A good anti-Kapha, with its intoxicating scent, it is an herb with refreshing, antibacterial, diuretic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, hypotensive, antispasmodic and diaphoretic, expectorant, and astringent properties. For external use: the flowers can be used for skin inflammations, infectious skin rashes and sores.
How to use: apply the warm oil generously (before any other product). Apply to the face with circular movements, working from the inside outwards, and to the neck from bottom to top. Massage into the scalp with circular movements. It can be applied as a hair conditioner to the lengths of the hair for a few hours or, even better, overnight. Rinse with warm water and non-aggressive, surfactant-free soaps. Recommended for all seasons.
